Tracey Robinson

Lead Inspector

Tracey joined Dyfed Powys Police in 1995, before transferring to Lothian and Borders Police in 2000. She served in a variety of uniform posts in both county and city communities, and in departments such as Road Policing, Complaints and Professional Standards, and Operational Planning. She was also seconded to Tulliallan Police College, working in Leadership and Management Division, where she was involved in designing, delivering or facilitating Senior Leadership courses, such as the Strategic Command Course, and operations modules, such as Match Commander and Police Incident Officer.

For a number of years Tracey was a member of the Hostage and Crisis Negotiation Unit. In November 2016, Tracey joined Emergency, Event and Resilience Planning within Operational Support Division.

She is a Counter Terrorism Security Coordinator and has delivered security plans for several major events including Edinburgh’s International Festival, The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and Royal visits.

Tracey is a Superintendent in Police Scotland, and was appointed as Lead Inspector at HM Inspectorate of Constabulary in Scotland (HMICS) in September 2017.
